Six hours ago, Revit wasn't even installed on my computer
Six hours later, I have a 12-sheet design drawing pack. Plans, ceiling plans, elevations, sections, visuals and a drawing register, complete with title block, scale bar, dimensions, hatching and room tags. Roughly RIBA Stage 2 depth.

This time, I didn't draw a single line. Honestly, as I write this, it still doesn't quite feel real.
Here is how it went:
・Install Revit and connect it to an MCP, so AI can drive Revit directly
・Give Claude three floor plans of a chalet I designed ten years ago, as plain images. It raised the walls, placed doors and windows, laid the floors and built the roof
・A second AI session took over the documentation: views, tags, dimensions, sheets, door and material schedules out to Excel, then the PDF set
・Renders took Revit 3D views as the base, then went to AI
・Finally, independent AI reviewers checked the set, round after round, seven rounds in all
The part I find most interesting is that three things happened in the same night. I had no Revit library, so the AI built one as it went: title block, tags, view templates. At the same time I wanted to record the process for teaching, so the screenshots were captured along the way. And at the end I had it write what it learned into Skills, so next time it doesn't start from zero.
One house, and out came a drawing set, a library, a teaching deck, and a method that can be run again.
My part? Say clearly what I wanted, look, choose, and say "no, again".
I had no Revit library, so the AI built one as it went: title block, tags, view templates.

So I can picture a future where architects focus on just two things: design, and signing.
Design, because how a house is lived in, where the light comes in and where the money goes are still human judgements.
Signing, because a signature is responsibility. When a drawing is wrong, the AI doesn't go to court.
For a first AI run in Revit, I won't call it perfect. Take away the installing and testing, and the time it actually worked unguided was about three hours. Three hours for this... that's pretty good. And don't forget, it learns along the way, so next time it starts a level higher.
What's still missing: the original plans had no dimensions, so the AI had to infer the scale. The roof plan is still crude. Building Regulations were out of scope, and every sheet says Not for construction. After seven rounds of AI checking, the "Checked by" box on the title block was left blank on purpose. That one is mine.
The hours spent drawing can finally go back to designing.
(The renders are AI images from the Revit model, not photographs.)
Tonight's run is now a step-by-step lesson. If you'd like your own AI agent that can drive Revit, my AI Agent starter course is five one-to-one lessons, on the Claude app or Hermes, and architects can add the Revit lesson.
